15 Black Demilune Tables for Any Budget (By Price)

Happy Friday, friends! I had grand plans to share an outdoor tile installation post with you today, but recovering from surgery has been slower than I expected. Therefore, I’ve been doing a lot of scrolling in bed, rather than roaming around with my camera in hand. Three years ago, I shared a fun demilune table makeover with you. Anyone remember this charming console? The day before my surgery (on a whim), I decided to pull the table out of the basement closet and bring it upstairs. I had always envisioned it would live in our entryway, as it’s small and easy to style… a great space filler for tight areas! Once again, I’m reminded how versatile these tables can be. I love that they’re meant to be pushed against a wall for an effortless vignette. While our entryway still has loose ends to tie before the big reveal, I’ve officially started styling. Click through for 15 black demilune tables for any budget… organized by price!

If you’ve missed any of our entryway renovation, be sure to check out the following posts (in chronological order below) to catch up. We’ve got paint and art installation left on our to-do list, but we’re nearing the end.

I’m excited to photograph the finished space for you soon… otherwise, you’re going to see it this holiday season because I’m eager to string up garland along the stair railing. Speaking of- I just made our holiday collection live at Tuesday Made. I know it’s early, but it always sells out (just a heads up)! Onto demilune tables…

15. Black Walnut Folding Demilune

Of course, the most expensive option comes from one of my favorite designer sites to browse… 1st Dibs. Designed by Paolo Buffa, it’s one of those dream pieces.

FAQ

Where did you find your demilune table?

I thrifted this one. I think it was a Facebook Marketplace find- or maybe it came from a yard sale? I believe it was only $10, but it definitely needed some elbow grease. Check out my demilune table makeover here, for before images!

Do you like these consoles in colors other than black?

Absolutely! I love painted and wood tones as well. A lot of the vintage and antique ones have beautiful wood grain or natural stone tops. This is an older post, but is still very relevant- featuring a roundup of demilune tables of all styles, sizes, and colors.

Where or how might you style one of these cute tables?

As I previously mentioned, they’re one of the easiest tables to style because of their size and unique shape! They’re idea for smaller spaces, tight rooms, or corners… the end of a hall, a bathroom, a stair landing, an entryway, etc. I like to style them with a lamp or light fixture, art installed above, books, a candle, or a catchall- functional and beautiful items!

I hope you enjoyed this post! While it wasn’t what I initially had planned for today, I definitely had fun virtual shopping. Is there anything you’re on the hunt for I can help you source? Let me know in the comments below! I’m hoping to catch up on comments this weekend, by the way. What is everyone up to? I’m still taking it easy. I’ve got one more solid week of rest before I’m released to drive again, and then four weeks after that of taking it easy, while listening to my body. I’m practicing patience. Here’s to a sunny weekend ahead!

  1. Your demilune is such a perfect fit in the entryway Sarah. Looks lovely, what a sweet moment at the bottom of the stairs. I so admire how everything is coming together and it will be so gorgeous styled and decorated for Christmas. You are such a visionary, I’m in awe of the beautifully painted stripes and all the details you have shared up to this point. It will be a spectacular reveal for sure 😍 wow!
Demilune tables are so pretty and practical and you’ve shown with your roundup how many styles and sizes, not to mention price points. I do love their rounded shape, soft silhouette and a great space saver in a small space. They exude elegance somehow a typical console can lack, maybe it’s the legs with the curved top that make them so special, you’ve rounded up some beauties.
Did you receive your hurricanes from Studio McGee? I bet they are stunning! They will be so beautiful to style for Christmas ✨ and will be so gorgeous in your home.
Anyway we are heading to the cottage to close for the season this weekend. I’m kind of sad cottage season is over all ready, but we will be more organized next year as we will receive a beautiful work shed for Andrew on Monday. We are super excited about it. A combination of storage and extra space for an office as our cottage is too small so I designed a fancy shed of sorts. It’s pretty cute!
Anyway have a great weekend of rest and Happy Friday 🍕

Thank you so much, Colleen! It’s slowly coming together. Demilunes are definitely the most practical and easiest to style… probably my favorite type of table. I hope you had a good weekend at the cottage- even if you were there to close it up for the season. Summer went so quick this year! How exciting about Andrew’s work shed! It’s crazy how much functionality and storage our shed brought us. Such a smart and exciting move! I hope it goes well and you have a wonderful week ahead!

  2. Good morning! What’s not to love about these shapely, sleek tables? From the simple to the sublime, I’m hard-pressed to choose a favorite from this stellar selection. (OK, OK. Numbers 5, 9, 12, and 14.) I especially like this style of table for an entry or at the end of a hallway. That ingenious curved top really eases the flow while allowing a perfect drop zone. As useful and timeless as they are, I must say that I rarely encounter them in the wild. Perhaps I’ll start seeing them now that you’ve reminded the universe.😉 Thanks for a lovely roundup in lieu of patio tile updates. The quick peek on on IG stories will satisfy nicely for the time being. (Go, Emmett! It’s looking amazing!) You, my friend, keep resting! Remember, you’re not “doing nothing.” Your body is literally knitting itself back together and restoring equilibrium after a major invasion. Put your feet up and eat some pizza! Happy Friday! Cheers to another glorious fall weekend!💜🍕🍁

Good morning, Peggi! I loved sourcing these. Demilunes are my favorite- they can be tucked anywhere and are the easiest to style. I have a feeling you’re going to start noticing more of them. Thank you for the pep talk! I’m one week out and I’m so ready to get back to my regular routine, ha. One more week until I can drive, and seven weeks until I’m cleared for exercise. Whew! I can do it. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start.

  3. Good morning! You know I love seeing the entryway sneak peeks- still stunned over the stripes and flooring. I’m even happier to hear that you’re feeling well, and on your feet a bit. The demilune looks fantastic in this small corner- one of my favorite furniture flips you’ve done. I love the Shamiera Console- this one looks like a splendid candidate for replacing my current entryway table. She has served us well, but she’s always been slightly large for the wall. The rounded edges are a much better fit for us! Having two drawers versus one is ideal- and the details on this one are chefs kiss. My other favorite (in an endless budget world) is the fluted iron console. 😱 Way to stop the scroll Sarah! Hahah- that one is breath taking. In other news, the patio tile is looking incredible!! I can’t wait to see that space come together. Emmett is doing such a fantastic job. As we head into the weekend, I hope recovery continues smoothly, and you begin feeling more like yourself. Sending endless hugs, and all the restful vibes!

Good morning, Lauren! This was a fun post for me… those little demilunes can be styled anywhere! I can think of at least 4 other spots in our house that could accommodate one. The patio tile is looking SO beautiful. It’s just taking us forever- we calculated that it’s more tile square footage than our entire house combined (bathrooms and kitchen tile). It seemed so easy, haha.

  4. Hi Sarah,
Sometimes nature takes its course to give us some rest and I know it might feel like a burden at the moment but enjoy yourself and your own company as the weather changes. I hope your recovery is going as expected and you are gathering material for new exciting posts along with the rest. Keep snacks handy and take it easy.
On a different note, I really liked seeing the price of the item listed below the picture as I sometimes get carried away by the beauty and forget about looking at the price.oops.
Off to the daily grind and wishing you a great restful refreshing day ahead.

Hi Saba! It definitely feels like a burden at this point, but I know my body is still very much healing one week post op. I’m trying to patient and enjoy time at home, as the weather shifts. Thanks for the great reminder. I also appreciate your sharing about the pricing format- that’s super helpful. I’ll try to start including that in these type of product roundups. The only issue is that prices are constantly changing, so mine may not be relevant or correct in a couple of months. Hope you have a great week ahead!
