20 Vintage & Antique Round Gilded Mirrors

As we head into the weekend, my most asked question this week has been about my antique mirror that hangs in our upstairs hallway. While I’ve yet to reveal the entryway, foyer, and hall, I’ll give you a closer look… along with some similar finds! Mine was a lucky grab from an estate sale, but those antique pieces are always the ones that bring the most warmth & character to a vignette. I’m always on the hunt for unique mirrors, tapestries, and wall art. Today (after lots of requests), I found 20 vintage and antique mirrors for you… all with a similar aesthetic of varying sizes and price points.

Many of you first noticed this particular mirror last week when I shared my Christmas tour, styling the entryway for the holidays. However, I shared this mirror almost two years ago when I scored it from an estate sale. In fact, it prompted this popular post… how to find & shop home estate sales! It just goes to show- even if you don’t have a specific place in mind for something- if it’s special and calls to you, it may be worth sitting on until you find the perfect spot in your home. I’m happy it landed in our hall!

Some of these are super affordable, while others are antique heirloom, hand carved works of art. If you’re looking for budget options… eBay and Etsy are great resources. Alternatively, if you’re searching for an investment gallery-worthy mirror, I’d turn to Chairish or 1st dibs.

FAQ

Do you know the history behind your mirror?

Unfortunately, I don’t. I’m not even sure of the age. I do know it was a part of a pair. Sadly, I wasn’t able to grab the second mirror, as someone beat me to it at the estate sale. I’m just happy to have this one!

Did you always know it would be installed in your hallway?

I honestly had no ideas or plans for it. Sometimes, I grab something just because it speaks to me. It sat in my basement closet for two years while we worked on the entryway renovation before I brought it upstairs and installed it above my demilune table.

Speaking of the demilune table… where is that from?

It’s another vintage piece… a lucky Facebook marketplace find. Check out this post for 15 black demilune tables for any budget (by price).

  1. Gah-this mirror is so gorgeous!!! The view here is quickly becoming my favorite in your home. I can’t even describe why- there’s so many gorgeous views and vignettes around your home- but this one makes my heart sing. The mirrors you rounded up are all stunning. My top 3 are the regency bullseye mirror, the French Neoclassical gilt wood mirror, and the carved gilded wood mirror. Beautiful specimens!!! You seem to hit the jackpot of antiques with both estate sales and FBMP; the end result is beautiful. Happy Friday Sarah! You’ve inspired a morning marketplace perusal. Ha! Xoxo

Thank you, Lauren! I still can’t believe I was able to snag it from an estate sale… definitely a lucky find. And the table! I think they were meant for that spot in the hall together. I hope you’ve been having luck on marketplace. I also hope you had a festive weekend as we’re gearing up for Christmas! Such a busy, but fun time. Xo

  2. Good morning! I remember when you originally shared this score. Was it really two years ago?! 😮 I’m not surprised you received so many inquiries. Not only is the mirror gorgeous, but your hallway moment, perfectly styled for the holidays, really captivates. While I find this style beautiful, my current aesthetic leans more casual. For a teensy bit of fancy though, I’d choose the third example in the top row or the cloudy keyhole number in the center of the collage. All of your suggested spots for hanging a special mirror are tops. I particularly love a unique choice in a bathroom. (I know those ubiquitous sheets of mirror are…efficient? But…) I also adore the look of elongated mirrors flanking a bed above nightstands, like in your primary! Now you’ve got me glancing around the house for a spot that could use a little looking glass goodness.🤣 We’re having friends over for Sunday dinner and a doodle hangout, so that’s sure to be crazy. Hopefully, we’ll also get to see the sun; we’re on day 147 of inversion plus fog. 😭 (ok, probably only 2 weeks, but still) Otherwise, we’re just enjoying quiet evenings in our festively dressed home. Happy Pizza Friday, Sarah! Cheers to a super weekend!💜

Crazy, right? Time flies! I still can’t believe I was able to grab the mirror. One other lady had her eye on the pair… I ran for one, she ran for the other. Ok- more like a speed walk, but we knew. Estate sales can be an adrenaline rush and cardio exercise, depending on the day. Haha! I hope Sunday dinner with friends was magical and delicious. I bet the doods had fun! We have friends arriving to stay with us this week, and one just got a puppy… so we’ll have an extra dog in the house. I’m pretty excited. Our inversion has also been terrible. I hope that snowstorm you go helped to push it out for better air. I hate those ick days.
