Party Favor Ideas for Any Bachelorette Party, Vacation, or Getaway
Happy Friday, friends! I’m clearly playing catch up on the blog this week after a full week of travel, but today I’ve got a quick and fun party favor post to share with you. I spent the weekend in LA with my girlfriends celebrating the bride-to-be, and I got so many questions after sharing a quick snap of the personalized boat totes I pulled together. I was in charge of party favors and these were surprisingly affordable (a good Etsy find) and well received. While not really home or interior related, I thought some of you may appreciate some fun favor ideas for any family vacation, getaway with friends, bachelorette party, or even some ideas for the upcoming holiday season.

I was tempted to curate a single boxed gift with classic monochromatic gift wrap… because they look so beautiful & classic, but these bags felt far more practical! I also think they’re more fitting for travel (and are easy to pack). I also knew they’d be appreciated by my group of friends. I was traveling directly from New York to LA, so I had to do a bit of tetris packing this time around… check out my travel essentials, here. My NYC design friends were shocked I never check bags- even for multi-stop trips, which I attribute to a capsule wardrobe and honed packing skills, ha. I always fit everything into my carry on! Anyway- let’s dig into the bachelorette party goodie bag…
In Our Bags… Plus A Quick Idea List

While my friend doesn’t have a bridal party, I was in charge of party favors for the bachelorette weekend send off- and my goal was to find some classy picks my friends would actually use and enjoy. I’ve been to my fair share of bachelorette parties, but it has been years. When it comes to bachelorette gifts, these days- I think worthwhile party favors come in the form of a care package. You know me… I never want to spend money on junk or gift things people will immediately toss.

I landed on the following: personalized boat totes, quick dry beach towels (I had monogrammed locally), slippers (the same ones I keep stocked in the guest bath), and some favorite travel minis: SPF, lip balm, hair ties, a sheet mask, makeup wipes, Advil, and an immunity boost– all tucked into these zippered pouches and tossed into the tote. Clearly my selection of bachelorette party favors skew on the pragmatic side. Here are some additional ideas that include functional items for party bags…
- Tote Bag
- Beach Towel
- Lip Balm
- Hair Ties or Clips
- Stainless Steel Tumbler
- Custom Tags
- Face Masks
- Sunscreen
- Immunity Boost or Vitamin C
- Electrolyte Packets
- Food Items or Consumables (local bakery treat, salty snack, chocolate, coffee, tea, etc)
- Advil
- Slippers
- Makeup Wipes
- Koozies (or can coolers)
- Simple Hat
- Water Bottle
- Lotion
- Zippered Pouch
- BandAid Packs
- Small Jewelry Organizer
Monogrammed Boat Totes & Beach Towels
My friend’s favorite color is dark green, so I jumped at these boat totes with emerald handles and simple embroidery from Etsy. They come in a variety of colors with customizable typography, if you wanted to include a fun message rather than a monogram. While they did take awhile to ship, they were perfect upon arrival… a solid, budget-friendly choice!
I also grabbed a pack of these green quick-dry (easy to pack) beach towels and had them monogrammed locally for less than $30. I liked the idea of functional items, as we had scheduled a boat day, and there was a spa at our Airbnb… I knew we’d put the totes & towels to good use. These were also items I knew my friends would use after our getaway. I appreciate bachelorette gift bags where the bag itself is the gift. These cute bags were a fun accessory that also made for great group photos of the whole party.

Something to keep in mind… you can always buy a basic product and have it monogrammed or personalized locally. That’s what I did with the towels! While the party destination I attended was in Los Angeles, these ideas are pretty universal and would work well for any location or event. These would also be a great addition to a holiday gift list… I’ll definitely add some to my annual gift guide this year!
A Nice Surprise

While I’m pretty sure I’ve officially aged out of the bachelorette phase in life (having just sent off my last bestie to be married), these party favors, totes, or towels would be a fun surprise for many occasions. Emmett & I tagged along on my sister’s family vacation a few years ago and her crafty mother-in-law made custom koozies for the entire crew. It was such a sweet welcome surprise. You know I love anything monogrammed, and even had some custom items (koozies, matches, and coasters) made for our basement bar! Here are some instances where these personalized items, fun goodies, small gifts, or party favors would be a great idea or come in handy…
- Bachelor Parties or Bachelorette Favors
- Family Vacations
- Getaways with Friends
- Seasonal Parties
- For Your Home or Family (matching totes, coasters for the home bar, etc)
- As Holiday Gifts (simple gifts for family members)
- Girls Night or Galentines
- For A Rental Property (special branded Airbnb touches that stay at the property)
- Graduation Parties
- Staycations
- Welcome Gifts

FAQ
For me, this is totally dependent on the couple and their interests. I saved a big list of ideas that includes a lot of fun options! I also really enjoy thoughtful wrapping, as I think presentation is key to giving the perfect gift.
It has seriously been over a decade since the majority of the bachelorette parties I’ve attended, so my recent trip to LA was fun (and most memorable). Some of the destinations my friends have selected are: Chicago, Louisville, Las Vegas, Nashville, Park City, and Florida. I’d choose something relaxing these days… wine country, a cabin in the mountains, maybe a spa or beach day? The older I get, the more I appreciate calming, serene moments with simple shared meals & memories. What about you?
Even as an interior designer (who isn’t exactly a minimalist), I’m of the opinion less is more in these situations. There is a lot of tacky, disposable decor out there. Whether you’re renting an Airbnb or have a hotel room booked, I’d let the totes and party favors double as decor. We lined up the bags, poured each guest a glass of champagne, and I pulled together a quick floral arrangement for the table using grocery store florals and quick greenery cuts from the property. It was really a lovely vignette that set the scene for the weekend! I’ll drop an image below…
